TRACKSIDE SNAPSHOTS: SÃO PAULO GRAND PRIX

Last weekend BWT Alpine F1 Team visited Autódromo José Carlos Pace for the 2023 São Paulo Grand Prix. From media duties and drivers’ parade to a fantastic show of teamwork, see some behind-the-scenes moments in our new Trackside Snapshots feature.

MEDIA DUTIES AND DRIVERS’ PARADE

Over the course of a Grand Prix weekend Esteban and Pierre have lots of duties both on and off track. Each weekend starts with a media day when our two drivers speak to publications from across the globe, both print and broadcast. Esteban and Pierre also join in for the drivers’ parade each weekend, giving fans a wave as they drive around the circuit ahead of the afternoon’s Grand Prix.

TEAM APPRECIATION

After Esteban’s crash during Saturday’s Sprint Shootout the team worked tirelessly to ensure Car 31 was repaired and able to go back out on track for the Sprint Race. We thank every member of BWT Alpine F1 Team, both trackside and factory-based, for their hard work and dedication.

ACADEMY WIN AND SPECIAL HELMETS

Alpine Academy driver Matheus Ferreira competed in the penultimate round of the 2023 F4 Brazilian Championship at Autódromo José Carlos Pace. Matheus celebrated two wins over the weekend, taking the top step on the podium in both Race 1 and Race 3. Esteban and Pierre came to the São Paulo Grand Prix with special helmets, paying homage and thanks to the Brazil fans and their family and friends. Esteban paid special tribute to the nickname which Brazil fans have affectionately given him, Oconzinho, whilst Pierre’s helmet featured signatures from his friends and family wishing him luck for the weekend.
